"van den Oever, Zaaijer & Partners architecten" is one of the founding partners of the Dutch Green Building Council, an independent organisation, which – on the basis of international standards – has developed a sustainability label for Dutch buildings and areas. The DGBC provide certificates to clients who have had the degree of sustainability of their building or area assessed according to previously postulated criteria. The Council performs the assessment on the basis of BREEAM. The abbreviation stands for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method.
